Benco presents personalized, guided virtual showroom tours and interactive platforms for dentists everywhere

PITTSTON, PA — November 10, 2020 — More than a decade ago, Benco Dental opened the first superstore for dentists in North America, where an immersive experience changed the way equipment and technology is selected. Today, the country’s largest independently-owned distributor presents another innovative solution: customized virtual visits to all three CenterPoint showrooms, in Pennsylvania, Texas and California.

“From the comfort of their office or home, a dentist can attend a live, personalized visit through one of our showrooms, hosted by a CenterPoint Genius who is expertly trained to demonstrate equipment and technology. Or, they can select a three-dimensional tour using our interactive Matterport models,” said Dan Bump, Vice President of Sales – Equipment for the nation’s largest independent dental distributor.

“Benco strives to drive dentistry forward, and the year 2020 has presented an opportunity for us to do just that by helping dentists respond to challenges they face today. Annually at our showrooms, we welcome more than 700 customers and assist them in finding the ideal equipment for their practice. Now, we can offer them our CenterPoint Experience virtually.”

Two new CenterPoint Experience (CPX) options ensure customer safety and accommodate restrictions created in response to COVID-19:

  • Customized CPX tours via video conference, with expert support and live demonstrations from a Benco Dental Equipment Specialist and CenterPoint Genius.
  • Guided tours with the interactive Matterport platform, which features navigable 3D models, viewing CenterPoint showrooms as photographed in August 2020.

A third option, available at CenterPoint locations in Pittston, Pennsylvania, and Costa Mesa, California, invites dentists to browse remotely. Much like with a videogame, dentists can navigate a robot through the showroom in real time.

“We’re just scratching the surface with capabilities of virtual meeting technology in our showrooms. I’m most excited to discover how the in-person and virtual experiences will work in tandem to create the ultimate buying experience for Benco customers,” said Lisa Peifer, CenterPoint Genius supervisor.
