Benco Dental Announces Plans For New $12 Million Distribution Center

New 90,000-square foot facility to become largest of four regional facilities.

WILKES-BARRE, PA (May 9, 2007) — Benco Dental, the nation’s fastest-growing distributor of dental products and equipment, today announced the purchase of 26 acres on which a new 90,000-square foot distribution center will be constructed.

The site is approximately 11 miles from the company’s current northeast regional distribution center, which is located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

“The site’s close proximity to major transportation routes and shipping carriers like UPS and FedEx makes it an ideal location,” said Louis Mangino, Vice President of Operations. “In addition, because it’s nearly three times the size of our current site, we have the ability to easily add additional square footage to meet our future needs.”

The decision was spurred by the need for increased distribution capabilities in the northeastern United States, where Benco Dental’s market share grew 10% during 2006. Once completed, it is anticipated that the facility will become the largest of the company’s four distribution centers. The others are located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jacksonville, Florida and Fort Worth, Texas.
